Most Wanted: The L.A. Lip Job!

LePaparazzi News Update

Angelina Jolie

Her precious pout is one of the most-wanted facial features that plastic surgeons hear from their patients. But if you weren't born with ANGELINA JOLIE's lips, how do you get them? Beverly Hills Dr. JAY CALVERT offers a surgical procedure that he says creates that beestung look without the sting!

"This is the right combination for people who are tired of getting lots of injections and also being frustrated with the way that looks and feels," he says.
Calvert's "L.A. Lip Enhancement" is a tissue-grafting procedure that takes an hour and a half and lasts for a year and a half, he says.

Basically, the patient is given a mild anesthesia and a layer of fat is taken from the side or buttocks and then implanted into the patient's lip.

"It is a graft that is placed like a lip implant," Dr. Calvert explains. "Then we added on top of that fat injection. She should have a really great result and should last basically for the rest of her life [with 18-month touch-ups]."

JOLYNN ACREY underwent the lip enhancement to freshen her top lip and says she is thrilled with the results.

"I don't have these little lines around my lip," she says. "I don't have to put tons of lip liner lipstick to get my lips to look full and even without any lipstick or anything on them they look very natural and beautiful. I'm really pleased with the result."

Before undertaking any surgical procedure, however, you should find out the potential risks and side effects and research your doctor's credentials. For more on the L.A. lip enhancement, watch tonight's "Insider."

Italians Unfazed by Pitt-Jolie Rumors

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie getting married here Saturday? The locals don't know and they don't care.

"Who wants him? He's an actor, not God," said Marco Berna, 26, while sipping a glass of wine at a mostly empty bar Friday night.

Rumors of a wedding have sent journalists scrambling all over this quiet northern Italian town on the shores of Lake Como, a favorite getaway for the rich and famous.

Fanning the gossip, Mayor Simona Saladini said she was told to remain on standby for possible official duties until Saturday evening.

She said she was told police were placed on alert and a private security firm increased security around a villa owned by George Clooney a friend of the Hollywood couple. Saldini declined to name the security company or say who told her to remain on standby.

I have been mayor since 2003, and they would be the most famous couple" to be married here, Saladini told The Associated Press as she got her hair done in a salon.

But Giuseppe Mantero, the mayor of the nearby town of Laglio where Clooney has his Villa Oleandra, said construction on the estate would make a wedding difficult.

"We're talking about long-term works, and they surely will not end this weekend," he told Associated Press Television News on Saturday.

Saladini said a wedding agency contacted her late last year, scouting locations for a famous actor to be married Saturday. The agency said the actor had filmed a movie at the town's famous Villa Erba, the former home of the late Italian aristocrat and movie director Luchino Visconti.

"We concluded that the movie was "Ocean's 12," and they told me it was Mr. Brad Pitt," Saladini said Friday in an interview with APTN.

There was no evidence, however, of pending nuptials at Villa Erba on Saturday. There also was no word from the glamour couple, said town spokesman Giuseppe Salvioni. But Saladini said she could marry them with two hours' notice if they arrived with all the necessary paperwork.

Speculation about a wedding by the lake rippled last year, but quickly fizzled after Clooney denied his friends were scheduled to marry at his villa.

Clooney's representative, Stan Rosenfield, declined to comment on the latest gossip. "There's been wedding rumors for years," he told the AP on Thursday. "Rumors are rumors."

Pitt's representative, Cindy Guagenti, also declined to comment.

Jolie and Pitt, who costarred in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," are expecting a child this summer.

Another possible wedding locatio
n was Cernobbio's luxury resort Villa D'Este, which often hosts stars and international conventions. But officials there insisted they knew nothing of a wedding.

Cernobbio has long been a weekend retreat for Milan's wealthy, and for many years was the home of slain fashion designed Gianni Versace, whose VIP guests included Madonna. Versace's sister, Donatella, still visits often with a posse of rich and famous, said local restaurant owner Holmes Sitta.

"Naomi Campbell, you can see her shopping at the market," he said. "Even Matt Dillon came to drink a cappuccino."

But the locals, he explained patiently, aren't interested in the stars.
"We really don't care," he said.

Fashion Designer Oleg Cassini Dies at 92

Designer Oleg Cassini

Oleg Cassini, who designed the dresses that helped make Jacqueline Kennedy the most glamorous first lady in history, died Friday. He was 92.

Cassini died on Long Island, said Senada Ivackovic, marketing director for Oleg Cassini Inc. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Kennedy, only 31 when her husband was elected president, was the pinnacle of style in the White House years from 1961 to 1963. Her simple, geometric dresses in sumptuous fabrics, her pillbox hats and her elegant coiffure were copied by women from 18 to 80.

Cassini said that shortly after John Kennedy was elected, he persuaded his wife that she should use him as the creator of her total look, rather than one of many designers. The one-time Hollywood costume designer turned couturier had been friendly with the Kennedy family for years.

"We are on the threshold of a new American elegance thanks to Mrs. Kennedy's beauty, naturalness, understatement, exposure and symbolism," Cassini said when his selection was announced.

L.A. Fashion Week Begins With 'New Garde'

Models showcase avant-garde designs from Kit Pistol by Christina Scarbo via an installation of a monochromatic playground, during "The New Garde," presented by Gen Art and Acura at the Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles on Friday, March 17, 2006. The annual event is the kickoff to Los Angeles Fashion Week for the Spring and emphasizes Gen Art's commitment to the growth of independent and spirited West Coast fashion talent while launching innovative Los Angeles and Pacific Rim designers into the fashion community.

Women in flouncy skirts and polka-dotted bras played with Barbies as they frolicked on a yellow swingset. A gaggle of gals wearing orthopedic shoes and vacant stares posed beside a giant ball of newspaper.

Nearby, a crew of women with Princess Leia-inspired hairdos explored a tall ship made of fabric and wood.

This was not your typical fashion show.

L.A. Fashion Week got off to a festive start Friday night at downtown's historic Park Plaza hotel with "The New Garde: A Celebration of Innovative Los Angeles Fashion."

Presented by the Gen Art organization, which aims to showcase emerging fashion talent, the party featured fall collections by three new designers: Christina Scarbo, Hajnalka Mandula and Suzy Yun.
