Jessica Simpson says she's changed for the better since meeting boyfriend Tony Romo.

He’s taught me to calm down a lot,’ she tells chat show host Ellen DeGeneres. 

‘I’m not organised and he’s not organised either – but [he] does make me want to be organised for us.



‘He’s a good guy. And he’s really just helped me along in life and taught me a lot about being comfortable being myself.’



Jessica, 28, and American footballer Tony, 28, began dating in November last year. 

The star was married to singer Nick Lachey for three years.

Jessica Simpson's engagement denial

Jessica Simpson has denied she is getting engaged to American football star Tony Romo.

The 'Come on Over' singer dismissed claims she had been shopping for a ring with Tony after performing at a NASCAR pre-race concert in North Carolina on Saturday (11.10.08).

Jessica said: "Tony and I have not gone to [fashion store] Neiman Marcus - somebody said we bought a ring there. I couldn't drag Tony in to Neiman Marcus if I tried."

However, the 'Dukes of Hazzard' actress revealed the couple's romance is blossoming, describing herself as: "Beyond the moon and stars. I'm very happy."

Jessica, who re-launched herself as a country music singer earlier this year, had a lesson in changing race car tyres in the pit lane at the Bank of America 500 race.

Jessica also talked about her musical switch from pop to country, saying: "Country music is where my heart is. It's been a shock to the media and the outside world but, to my friends, family and loved ones, it's somewhere I've always been.

"I'm not setting out to prove anything, I'm just trying to be me. Also, I feel I've been through a lot and I have a lot to say about it."

There are reports that Tony Romo is ring shopping for Jessica Simpson. Will there be wedding rumors that dog Romo throughout the NFL season? Certainly he might want to get used to all of the attention as he is dating Jessica Simpson. The actress and country singer has had a busy week and even got a spot in front of about 20 million television viewers when she performed on this week's Dancing with the Stars.

She has also been all over the place and she is one of the new paparazzi targets. She dined with her old assistant and the photographers were there to snap the pictures of the two BFF's.. Showstalker reports that "Jessica was wearing a sleeveless red knee-length dress and also was looking quite hot."

Continuing, "Simpson and her old assistant CaCee Cobb were leaving Madeo when they were mobbed by the paparazzi yesterday. Both were wearing almost a same dress with the same hairstyle." Jessica was shown earlier flashing her butt as her skirt flipped up on stage and she was only wearing a thong underneath.

The reports have turned a full one eighty as just a few months ago Jessica and Tony were on the cover of the tabloids but the reports claimed they were going to split. Now the new direction, they are getting ready to marry.

Making for quite the star-studded cheering section, Jessica Simpson, along with sister Ashlee and her rocker hubby Pete Wentz, cheered on Tony Romo at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe on Saturday (July 12).

And it seems that the Simpson sister support is doing the Dallas Cowboys quarterback stud some good - as Romo finds himself in second place to six-time champion Rick Rhoden going into the final round of play.

Funnily enough, press reports tell that "Romo took a spill in a pond on the first hole after losing his awkward footing on a steep bunker shot, but rebounded to shoot a 73 worth 43 points."

Speaking to press following his solid round of play, Romo said that "he tries to use golf as a tool to put himself in situations where hopefully he can think clearly under pressure."

"The more times you do that, for me I think will help me in football," he said, also telling that it was good to have Jessica on-hand cheering him on. "She has been at more sporting events than people know.

Tony Romo torn between Jessica Simpsonand Carrie Underwood

Will Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood soon be vying for Tony Romo’s attention in the quarterback’s home state?

Simpson, 28, is set to give her first official country concert performance on July 19 at the Country Thunder USA festival in Twin Lakes, Wisc.

Meanwhile, her homespun single, “Come on Over,” continues to climb the charts – and her country album is scheduled to drop in September.

Jessica’s boyfriend, Tony Romo, will be at her side for her big concert debut, according to Star magazine.

What’s more, the magazine reports, Romo, 28, plans on seeing ex-girlfriend Carrie Underwood while he’s in Wisconsin.

Underwood, 25, is kicking off the festival July 16.

“He wants to go to the festival the next day and say hi to Carrie,” an insider tells Star. “He also says he’s going to be there to support Jessica when she performs three days later. “

Tony plans to be at a fantasy football camp in his hometown of Burlington, Wisc. (just 12 miles from Twin Lakes) on July 15, according to the magazine.

Jessica Simpson still talking about how much she loves Tony Romo

Right before a non-confirmed but much-reported rumor that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo broke up for a week or so, Jessica was on the cover of Glamour magazine with a gushing accompanying article in which she called the quarterback her “future husband.” When Tony split up with Jessica, her stupid overshare along with her father’s meddling ways were said to be to blame.

The two reunited just in time to attend her sister’s goth wedding together, enabling her family to cash in on the photos. Now Simpson is talking yet again about what a great guy Tony is and how much she loves him. She says she’s been with him for seven months and while there are no “wedding bells yet” she sure loves the guy.

Jessica also says she’ll return to the stands when he goes back to play for the Dallas Cowboys this season. Many fans vilified her after her presence at a game happened to coincide with Romo’s worst performance of his career. When the Cowboys lost at the playoffs, it was easy to point the finger at little blabbermouth Jessica Simpson:

I wish her well and all, but she should really keep her mouth shut about how long they’ve been together and how much she loves him. She should also stay well away from his games. It wasn’t fair to blame her for the Cowboy’s poor season or for Tony’s bad performance when she was in the stands, but that doesn’t mean she should start going to the games again. She’ll only continue to make her boyfriend - and herself - easy targets.

Did Joe Simpson push Tony Romo too far?

Last week, a source told the Chicago Sun-Times that the problems between NFL quarterback Tony Romo and singer-actress Jessica Simpson were a direct result of the singer’s meddling father-manager. Now, thanks to another gabby insider, Us Weekly found out just what Papa Joe did to push Jessica’s main squeeze too far.

The first offense from the Simpson patriarch was to suggest Tony drop his agent and let Joe handle his Dallas Cowboys career and the $65.7 million contract that comes with it.

According to the Us source, Joe followed that unpopular play with an offer to publicize the quarterback’s engagement to Jessica and their eventual nuptials in the event that things ever went that far.

“If you guys have a marriage, I can (sell it) the same that I did with Ashlee,” Joe said, according to the insider.

Though Tony’s negative reaction to all that unsolicited help is said to be the reason he and Jessica are just “a trial thing” now, Joe defended his actions when Us asked him about the situation.

“It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients,” Simpson told the magazine, “And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?”
