The actress reckons it all started when Lindsay allegedly wrote a vile message about her on a bathroom wall 2 years ago.

‘I really don’t know her. I only met her 3 times,’ she tells Allure.

‘But apparently she did [write something]. I don’t know what the motivation was behind that.

'I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like: “Whoa, what, who are you?”’

Scarlett, 23, married actor Ryan Reynolds, 32, in September.

Scarlett Johansson's used tissue has raised $5,300 for charity.

US TV network NBC put the soiled tissue on auction website eBay after 'The Spirit' star appeared on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' last week, and have now raised the staggering amount for food-gathering charity USA Harvest.

According to eBay, bidding for the sneeze debris started at $0.99 but jumped to $4,050 just hours before the auction ended. The final price was reached after 83 bids were placed.

Bidders had to be pre-approved before they could put in an offer, and the lucky recipient will remain anonymous.

Meanwhile, Scarlett has appeared on Maxim magazine's Young Hot Hollywood 2009 list, compiled of stars they believe "will be leading Hollywood's new guard of A-list icons".

The 24-year-old actress features alongside seven other female celebrities in the January 2009 issue of the men's publication, including 'Gossip Girl' star Blake Lively, 'High School Musical' beauty Vanessa Hudgens and singer Katy Perry.

Other stars to appear on the list were 'House' star Olivia Wilde, 'Heroes' beauty Hayden Panettiere, reality TV starlet Audrina Partridge and 'Umbrella' singer Rihanna.

Scarlett Johansson is looking forward to getting back in the studio.

The actress, 24, released her debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head in May.

And she says she'd now like to work on original material.

‘I would love to do another album,’ she tells People.

‘I don’t think I’d do covers, so it’d be a project that I’d have to dedicate myself to.

'I feel like that’s something for the future.'

Her first record, featuring ten Tom Waits covers and one original track, received mixed reviews.

Scarlett Johansson's used tissue is up for auction on eBay- all in the name of charity.

The actress appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Wednesday, and complained she'd caught a cold from Samuel L Jackson, her co-star in The Spirit.

The host handed her a tissue and Scarlett blew into it twice, before telling the audience she would sell it for charity USA Harvest.

The star said her illness had more "value" as it had been passed from one celebrity to another.

Bidding has so far reached £1,465.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON shows why she's one of the world's hottest women with a stunning photoshoot for Cosmopolitan.

The US actress, who made an appearance at the Nobel Comittee Banquet in Oslo this week, pulls a sultry pose in a bust-enhancing black dress for the sexy shoot.

Scarlett has been doing the rounds recently to promote her new movie The Spirit, which is released on New Year's Day.

The film is an adaptation of the comic series of the same name.

Scarlett plays the aptly-named Silken Floss, a "very sexy woman" who's the accomplice to the film's baddie, the evil Octopus, played by SAMUEL L JACKSON.

She recently revealed that her co-star is actually a lot more vain than fans might expect.

She said: "Sam was always using my eyeliner pencils.

"He always had a lot of make-up on. He would spend hours longer in the make-up room than me."

The Mean Girls star reportedly wrote "Scarlett is a bloody c**t" with permanent marker in a New York bathroom stall during a night out with Kate Moss two years ago.

And Scarlett insists she is still baffled by Lindsay's sentiments, since the two actresses have only met a handful of times.

She tells Allure, "I don't know what the motivation was. I remember it was something really vulgar - I mean shockingly so, like, 'Whoa, what, who are you?'

"I don't really know that person (Lohan). I only met her, like, three times."

The 23-year-old actress – who married Ryan Reynolds, 32, last month – says travelling so much for the job makes it difficult to stay faithful.

'Relationships aren't easy,' she says. 'I believe in monogamy, but it's hard when you travel and actors travel a lot.

'It is an effort, but I don't want to be in a relationship that isn't worth making that effort for.'

Scarlett Johansson has revealed that Jonathan Rhys Meyers had to take a break from filming to shave off his beard.

The actors were shooting an intimate scene in 2006 film Match Point when Scarlett complained about his stubble.

‘Kissing him wasn’t that bad,’ she says. ‘But he did have to stop and shave in the middle of a scene, even though he’d shaved that morning. The man has really got some beard on him.’

Scarlett, 23 – who married Ryan Reynolds, 32, last month – says she preferred smooching Penelope Cruz in new movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

‘Penelope had less facial hair, so it was certainly more pleasant,’ she tells the Daily Record.

Scarlett Johansson has hit out at skinny actresses, saying she loves her shapely figure.

'There are a lot of actors around Hollywood who are just too thin for my taste,' she says.

'I don't understand this obsession for being stick-thin. I could never be like that – it's just not my body shape.

'I would never want to lose my curves, because curves are what make women look like women. They are what make you sexy.'

But Scarlett, 23, confesses that she'd never allow herself to put on too much weight.

'I'm a person in the public eye and I need to maintain a certain appearance, so I'm not going to balloon into somebody who is very much bigger than I am now,' she tells Weekend.

'But there's a weight I can maintain which is slim and healthy, and I think I can be my own judge of what feels comfortable to me and how I like my body to look.'

Scarlett married actor Ryan Reynolds, 31, in a small ceremony in Canada last month.

LOS ANGELES - Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds did a little rushing into it after all. The couple married this weekend, according to publicist Meredith O'Sullivan. She did not provide details.

Us Weekly reported on its Web site Sunday that the small wedding took place at a resort outside Vancouver, British Columbia. Guests included Scarlett's mother, Melanie Sloan, and her brother, Adrian Johansson, the magazine said.

The couple announced their engagement in May.

"We're just enjoying our time," the actress said last month. "We're just recently — very recently — engaged. So, you know, we're just taking it easy. And no big plan yet. But it's a good time and we're just ... enjoying our time to be young and engaged.

"I mean, I'm 23. There's no reason to rush into it. Everything feels very natural and relaxed."

Johansson most recently starred in the Woody Allen film "V CB." Reynolds starred on the TV show "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place" and the romantic comedy "Definitely, Maybe."

Scarlett Johansson visits AIDS clinics

Scarlett Johansson is on her way back from Africa, where she visited several AIDS clinics.

The actress spent four days in Rwanda with charity (RED) to raise awareness of the disease.

‘It was important for me to come here and see the issues we're up against firsthand,’ Scarlett said in a statement.

‘I came here with an open mind, wanting to listen, understand and learn.

'I leave with the overwhelming understanding that the small action of making a (RED) choice in your purchases...has an enormous impact on the lives of people in countries like Rwanda.’

Scarlett, 23, admitted in 2006 that she had two HIV tests a year.
