Singer speaks out about death messages on her blog

Courtney Love has slammed rumours that she’s contemplating taking her own life.

The 44-year-old singer alarmed fans when she posted a series of rants about death on her MySpace blog.

But she insists she’s doing fine.

‘No, I am not suicidal,’ she writes in a new blog. ‘Occasionally, like all of us, I get depressed – and that was over a year ago and I had a mini little depression attack.'

Courtney's husband, Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, killed himself in 1994 at the age of 27.

Courtney Love: Turns to MySpace to find house keeper

Courtney Love has turned to MySpace to help find a cleaner.

The rock chick says she's looking for someone trustworthy and 'normal' in the call-out to fans.

In the message, she appeals for help finding the perfect domestic.

'Is anyone [an] insanely clean neat-freak, near Malibu? I need a non-thieving, non-freaky housekeeper,' she writes.

'I know this is weird [but] the agencies suck and I'm sick of PIGS who steal, it's as simple as that. So f** it, why not try MySpace. No superfans please. And it's very good money.'

Courtney, 44, also says she need a PA and film-maker.

Courtney Love ruined Nirvana: says music boss

Courtney Love cased the steep downfall of her husband Kurt Cobain’s band Nirvana, according to a new book detailing the late rocker's life.

Former record executive Danny Goldberg writes in his forthcoming memoirs, Bumping Into Geniuses, that the Hole frontwoman led the doomed musician into a world of drugs and debauchery.

In the revealing tome, the author claims Love acted as Cobain's "mouthpiece" and once demanded that Goldberg give them a huge amount of cash which they were allegedly planning to spend on a heroin binge.

He writes, "I felt pretty uncomfortable as I delivered the package of $100 bills to her at the hotel. Abruptly, the dark cloud of drug excess had entered the band's life. I was confronted by the baroque facade of lies and the awful glassy-eyed deadness that regular heroin use provides."

He adds, "Courtney's very presence was a metaphor for the end of one era in the band's life and the beginning of another."

The pair married in 1992, having a daughter, Frances Bean, later the same year before Cobain committed suicide in 1994. Bumping Into Geniuses is scheduled to hit shelves later this month.
