Brad Pitt: I didn’t cheat on Jennifer Aniston with Angelina Jolie

Actor says he wasn't unfaithful to his ex

Brad Pitt insists he did not have an affair with Angelina Jolie while married to Jennifer Aniston.

He says their romance blossomed on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2004, after his relationship with Jen, 39, was over.

‘What people don't understand is that we filmed for a year,’ he says. ‘We were still filming after Jen and I split up.

'Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't.

'I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.’
In November, Jen branded Angelina, 33, ‘uncool’ for discussing the moment she fell for Brad.

But Brad, 45, reckons her remarks were taken out of context.
‘Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one,’ he tells W magazine.

‘We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers.'

Brad Pitt was quoted saying 'Angie and I do not fight anymore'

Brad Pitt has vowed never to argue with Angelina Jolie again.

The actor, 44, revaluated his life while shooting The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.

‘Angie and I do not fight anymore,’ he tells Rolling Stone.

‘What occurred to me on this film, and also with the passing of her mother [Marcheline Bertrand in 2007], is that there's going to come a time when I'm not going to get to be with this person anymore.

'And so, if we have a flare-up, it evaporates now. I don't want to waste time being angry at someone I love.’

In the movie, Brad plays a man who was born an octogenarian and looks younger as he gets older.

Brad and Angelina, 33, are parents to three-month-old twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, daughter Shiloh, 2, and adopted kids Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's family exchange had made gifts for Christmas

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's family give each other Christmas presents that they've made themselves.

‘We do exchange gifts, although we don’t feel any pressure to make them big or expensive ones,’ says Brad, 44.

‘And the kids don’t ask for big gifts for the reason that they don’t see a lot of American cartoon TV, which is packed with manipulative ads.’

Brad and Ange, 33, thinks it’s better that they're creative.

‘The rule is everyone has to make something for someone else,’ he says.

‘You got to put time into it. The gift-giving is a very nice time for us.’

The couple have five-month-old twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, daughter Shiloh, 2, and adopted kids Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.

Angelina Jolie revealed she plans to take time off work for family

Angelina Jolie has revealed that she plans to take as much time off work as possible to spend with her family.

The 33-year-old actress and partner Brad Pitt have 6 children – adopted Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, plus biological kids Shiloh, 2, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 4 months – and she says they come first.

'Brad and I are trying to balance our lives so that we’re there for our kids and can also make sure we’re fulfilled as people,' she tells Now.

'I haven’t worked for a year now, so I’m looking at working for a few months and then not going to work again for another year.'

Angelina also says they'll definitely adopt more children.

'I’d love to. We’ve thought about South or Latin America, but it’s very complicated.

'Brad and I aren’t married, so as a technically single woman there are lots of countries I can’t adopt from. And as a technically single man, most countries wouldn’t allow Brad to adopt at all.'

Angelina's new film Changeling, about a mother whose son is taken, is out now.

But the actress, 33, would like the opportunity to speak to parents in the same situation.

'I’d just love to sit around with other moms and ask questions about everything.'

They also have daughter Shiloh, 2, and adopted kids Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3.

'A lot of my questions would go to people who have mixed-race families, to ask about the smallest things,' she says.

'Like when Zahara, who’s Ethiopian, wants her hair to look like mine – because it won’t.

'I’ve looked for a Barbie that’s African, but the African Barbie has straight hair.'
Ange's new film The Changeling is out now.

‘Each and every donation can truly make a difference in the life of a child.’

It’s not the first time the Hollywood stars have given money to the cause – two years ago they donated £500,000 to the organisation.

Brad Pitt's Orleans privacy

Brad Pitt loves living in New Orleans because it is the only place his "family can have a sense of privacy".

The 44-year-old actor - who raises six children with partner Angelina Jolie - can escape the intense interest in his personal life when he goes home to the US city.

He said: "Living in New Orleans means we can all escape to a sense of normalcy, if there's such a thing.

"It's the only place where my family can have a sense of privacy. People there have other things to worry about than all this silliness."

Brad also revealed he decided to star in new movie 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' - in which he has to wear layers of make-up as well as prosthetic noses and scalps - because he was so keen to work with director David Fincher, who helmed his movies 'Se7en' and 'Fight Club', again.

Recalling the first time he watched a Fincher film, Brad said: "It was after this night of utter debauchery in Mexico in 1992, I watched 'Alien 3'.

"I remember walking out of the theatre thinking, 'OK, that was not what I expected. That wasn't a Hollywood ending'. It really stuck with me."

'Fantastic' Catwoman Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie would make a "fantastic" Catwoman, says Aaron Eckhart.

The 'Dark Knight' actor was delighted to hear Angelina is being lined up to play the feline villain and thinks a new Batman movie would be a box office smash if she lands the starring role.

Aaron said: "I thought that was a fantastic idea. When I read that, I felt like all of our records that we made would be broken if she did Catwoman."

The actor added he was equally as excited about rumours Johnny Depp may take the part of the Riddler, but joked to Us Weekly magazine: "Every time I hear these guys mentioned, I feel worse about myself!"

Veteran actress Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the 'Batman' TV series from 1966 to 1968, has previously claimed Angelina would be the perfect choice to play the iconic role.

She said: "Angelina would own the part. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman's one true love.

"She is tremendously popular with women because she's both a heroine and a villainess."

Since the TV series, other actresses to take on the role of Catwoman include Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992 movie 'Batman Returns', while Halle Berry's portrayal of the villain in 2004 film 'Catwoman' was panned by critics worldwide

Angelina Jolie falls out with dad Jon Voight… again

Actress upset about his support of John McCain in US election battle

Angelina Jolie is said to have turned her back on her father Jon Voight after he publicly backed John McCain to be the next US president.

The actress and partner Brad Pitt, 44, supported Barack Obama, 47, who won the election earlier this month.

Angelina, 33, is also thought to have been upset that Jon spoke so highly of Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, 44.

‘She was embarrassed by her father’s association with McCain, not to mention his comments about Sarah Palin, who she isn’t a fan of,’ a source tells the Daily Express.

'Things are fragile between them and it doesn’t take much to rock the boat. Their political differences haven’t helped things.’

Angelina and Jon, 69, have had a strained relationship ever since he split from her mother Marcheline Bertrand when she was just a year old.

Star is happy to step out of the limelight

The actress has daughter Shiloh, 2, twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, 4 months and adopted kids Maddox, 7, Pax, 4 and Zahara, 3, with partner Brad Pitt, 44.

And she wants to put her career on hold to look after them.

'First and foremost I have a lot of children and I have a big
responsibility to make sure that they're growing right and that they've
got us there for them.'

But Ange, 33, hasn’t ruled out returning to the big screen if something challenging comes up.

‘I don't think I'll ever say I'm never ever going to work because maybe there's that interesting project where I feel creative,’ she tells the BBC.

Angelina Jolie's broody movie

Angelina Jolie says her new film helped her get pregnant.

The 33-year-old actress - who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt - believes she wouldn't have conceived twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline if she hadn't starred in new movie 'Changeling', in which she plays a mother whose son goes missing.

She said: "I got pregnant right in the middle of shooting and I think partially because of the film. I was so emotional about children that I think something in me kicked into gear."

Angelina also admitted she considers her ever-expanding brood in everything she does, adding: "The centre of my life is my kids."

The actress revealed despite her growing family, she sometimes finds it hard to cope and gets distracted from her professional obligations.

Speaking about her recent attendance at an event which honoured 'Changeling' director Clint Eastwood, Angelina told the Los Angeles Times newspaper: "I woke up at three in the morning with four kids with jet lag and two babies. I put myself together for a few hours and go out. And then I go home. This is my job."
