Actor Josh Brolin arrested for bar fight

Josh Brolin was arrested Saturday during a bar fight after a call was made regarding a rowdy patron, Shreveport police Sgt. Willie Lewis told the Associated Press.

According to a police report, officers were called to the Stray Cat bar in the 200 block of Travis Street just after 2 a.m. to deal with a rowdy patron.

As more officers arrived, several other patrons at the bar, including Brolin and fellow actor Jeffrey Wright, 42, tried to impede the officers, the paper said.

Brolin and Wright were arrested along with five others in connection to the bar fight.

The actors—who are reportedly in town shooting Oliver Stone’s President George W. Bush film, W—were arrested at the Stray Cat bar after a call was made regarding a rowdy patron, Shreveport police Sgt. Willie Lewis told the Associated Press.

Brolin was booked and posted $334 cash bond, according to The Times of Shreveport.

Brolin has been married to Diane Lane since 2004.

On December 20, 2004, Lane called the police after an altercation with Brolin and he was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

Will Katherine Heigl get the boot from Grey’s Anatomy?

Katherine Heigl stuck her foot in her mouth, and as a result, she may be getting kicked to the curb.

Only a month after the Grey’s Anatomy actress took herself out of the running for this year’s Emmy race, a source told E! Online, “It’s not good there. Shonda is pissed. They’re thinking of killing her off. They want Izzie dead.”

Since last year’s Emmy win, Heigl has had great success outside of her TV show, starring in movies like Knocked Up and 27 Dresses.

Speculation that the actress is trying to get out of her contract with the show only worsened with her Emmy withdrawal.

A rep for Rhimes told the website, “I haven’t heard anything about that.”

Heigl’s rep could not be immediately reached for comment.

Angelina Jolie's doctor: "Everything is ok!"

Despite a long visit Monday morning, Angelina Jolie’s doctor is not worried about the 33-year-old actress.

Dr. Michel Sussmann emerged from the hospital and told People magazine, “They are all very well, very well. Everything is okay.”

There was heightened speculation about her health Monday morning after she received the lengthy visit from the obstetrician.

Sussmann – who delivered Jolie’s son Knox Saturday night at 6:27 p.m., followed by daughter Vivienne one minute later – left his car double parked outside the hospital for more than an hour during the early morning visit, reports the magazine.

The doctor arrived at Lenval hospital in Nice, France around 8:50 a.m. in a black Mercedes coupe. He was there for more than an hour.

According to the magazine, his previous check-up visits have usually lasted around 20 minutes and the doctor normally leaves his car in the underground garage, not double-parked on the road outside.

'No regrets,' but next time, 'a brunette' says Peter Cook post-Christie

Peter Cook and new girlfriend Suzanne Shaw seemed relaxed Saturday morning at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.

Cook in his own modeling days, with Carol Alt. Asked what he was looking for in his next relationship, he replied, 'A brunette.'

Peter Cook, his reputation in tatters but his mood considerably brighter, looks back on his doomed marriage to supermodel Christie Brinkley without regret.

"I will never regret marrying her," he told the Daily News Saturday over breakfast. "We had great times for 10 years. I've got two beautiful children."

Cook said his divorce settlement with Brinkley, after a week where he was publicly exposed as a sex-obsessed, two-timing narcissist, ended a dark chapter in his life - one he doesn't intend to revisit.

"My only option is to be healthy, happy and prosperous," he said. "If I'm not, how's that good for the kids?"

And he believes most people will forgive him the sins detailed over eight days of lurid testimony.

"Intelligent people understand that we are all imperfect, that we all have flaws," said Cook, dressed casually for an alfresco meal at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.

"Short of Mother Teresa, the Pope and Gandhi, no one really wants every dark corner of their life exposed to the world, and certainly not to their children."

Cook, 49, wore a Rolex on one wrist and a black bracelet - with the inscription "I am what I am" - on the other. In T-shirt, white jeans and flip-flops, he was relaxed and jovial, sitting with current girlfriend Suzanne Shaw.

His new love offered plenty of kinds words and a kiss for Cook as he spoke publicly for the first time since the trial ended last week.

Cook took a public relations pummeling during the often-salacious testimony. He wept on the stand while confessing his sexual shenanigans, which included spending $3,000 a month on Internet pornography and masturbating live for a cyberaudience via Web Cam.

He also confessed paying $300,000 in hush money to an 18-year-old girl after their sordid affair - which included sexual liaisons in two homes owned by Brinkley.

Even a court-appointed psychiatrist - one of the few witnesses with no ax to bury in Cook's back - labeled him a narcissist who chose his sexual compulsions over his family.

But he was able to joke about the headline-making trial, which ended with a settlement perceived by many as a victory for Brinkley.

Asked what he was looking for in his next relationship, he replied, "A brunette."

And asked what he'd learned from the whole experience, the architect said with a laugh, "You call your lawyer before you tell your wife anything."

He and Brinkley were raising two children - Jack, Brinkley's son from a previous marriage, and 10-year-old Sailor Lee, their daughter.

Under the deal, Cook will reportedly maintain his visitation rights with the children.

Cook said the public flogging, his adultery and the fallout haven't soured him on marriage. He remains a romantic, and would consider another walk down the aisle.

"Sure," he said. "And I'm going to use [Christie's] prenup."

Eva Mendes: Addiction is "Life or death situation"

Eva Mendes is surprisingly grateful for the vicious rumors regarding her reported substance abuse which circulated soon after the actress entered rehab last February.

“There are so many lies out there regarding my recent trip to Cirque Lodge,” she tells Interview in their August issue. “[But] I was so happy about that, because it’s when they get the real scoop that would make me really nervous. In a way, you want it to be a lie, because when it’s true it’s time to rethink who’s in your circle.”

She added, “Everybody is so highly visible now. We see everything. We see what celebrities buy at the supermarket. I’m confused by this whole celebrity-obsessed culture.”

The actress applauds others who have followed suit dismissing the negative stigma associated with rehab.

“I’m proud of people who have the determination and the fearlessness to actually go and face their demons and get better,” she tells the magazine. “This is a life or death situation. People have died, and I’ve lost friends too–even recently.”

Making the most of her trip out to the west coast, Lynne Spears has been enjoying a little mother/daughter bonding time with her eldest daughter Britney over the past few days.

According to a People magazine report, the Spears gals teamed up for an overnight visit with the "Gimme More" singer's sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, at Britney's Studio City home last night (July 12).

The previous day, Brit and Lynne went on a shopping spree at the True Religion warehouse and Pottery Barn before dining out at Bond St. restaurant with two of Britney's gal pals.

"Britney walked in with a big smile and introduced her mom to the staff," an onlooker told People magazine. "She looked gorgeous, and I have never seen her in a better mood. She was laughing the whole time she was here. Britney seemed to have the best time hanging out with her mom and friends."

With Kingston in her arms, the No Doubt frontwoman stopped by her parents house for a weekend visit as she continues to pay as much attention to her 2-year-old as possible before his younger sibling arrives.

Of her mindset before giving birth in the next few weeks, a source explained: “They (Gwen and Gavin) know they’re going to be busy with the new one within a few weeks so want to make sure that Kingston knows he’s loved."

The insider added: “They’ve also had Kingston pick out toys and clothes for the new baby so he feels involved. He’s probably looking forward to the birth as much as them.”

She’s a well-known supporter of animal rights activist group PETA. And earlier today, Pamela Anderson took a stand for chickens worldwide.

The former Baywatch babe was spotted at a KFC Restaurant in the Southport area of Queensland, Australia as she hand-delivered a signed letter of protest about the treatment of chickens by the KFC company on behalf of PETA.

She told press, "I've been in Australia filming Big Brother House, in which my housemates and I are confined and sealed off from the outside world, much like the chickens who are crammed inside barns for KFC."

She continued, "Fortunately, I won't be stomped to death, have my legs broken or be scalded to death in a tank of hot water, yet as PETA's undercover videos have revealed, the chickens raised for KFC's restaurants in Australia often suffer these abuses."

One small problem - KFC is one of the major sponsors of the Aussie Big Brother show on which Pammie has been guest starring. Whoopsie Daisy!

Alex Rodriguez's and his wife spending family time in Toronto

Continuing to spend time together for the sake of their children, Alex Rodriguez and his divorcing bride Cynthia have been spotted side-by-side over the past few days in Toronto, Canada.

On Saturday (July 12), the NY Yankees slugger, who's in town to play against the Tornoto Blue Jays, and Cynthia took their oldest daughter Natasha Alexander out for a family dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

Meanwhile, Cynthia decided to keep their younger daughter Ella at home, as she reportedly has an ear infection.

Of this, a source tells: "It's not a great idea for [Ella] to fly. But the older daughter is in [Toronto] with him this weekend. She flew with her mom. They’re going to have a relationship for the rest of their lives."

Explaining that both Alex and Cynthia are now making decisions based on their little girls, A-Rod's attorney Alan Kluger told Us magazine: “Alex and Cynthia are going through really difficult times. All of their decisions are going to be based upon what’s in the best interest of their daughters.”

Angelina gives birth to a boy and a girl

Angelina Jolie's twins have arrived - she gave birth by Caesarean section to a son and daughter yesterday evening.

'The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly,' Dr Michael Sussmann told People. 'Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well.

'The mother and father are very, very happy.'

Brad and Angelina have named their new son Knox Leon and their new daughter Vivienne Marcheline.

The newborns weighed in at 5lbs each.

Angelina was rushed to the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, on 1 July because she’d been suffering from increasingly frequent contractions.

‘Ange has had three doctors looking after her, as well as two pre-term neonatologists on standby 24-7,’ a source told Now at the time.

‘She’d already dilated to 3cm, even though she was only 34 weeks gone, and doctors were extremely concerned about her delivering too early, so she was rushed into hospital by private car.

‘Doctors wanted to keep the twins in the womb for another week at least, to give them a fighting chance at being born healthy.

‘If they’d been delivered, then they’d have encountered breathing problems, jaundice and been put on a ventilator.

‘She was given drugs to stop the contractions and stabilise the situation.'

Angelina, 33, and Brad, 44, are now parents to 6 kids - they are also mum and dad to Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2.

Sarah Larson insists she's still on friendly terms with ex boyfriend George Clooney.

The couple announced they were splitting last month after almost a year together.

And the former cocktail waitress says they are still in contact.

‘I don’t regret spending time with him and he’s a great person to get to know,’ she says.

‘We still remain friends and have kept in touch. In fact, we spoke over the phone a couple of days ago.'

Sarah, 29, says there are plenty of things she'll miss about the actor.

'Most people know George has a great sense of humour and is an adept storyteller,' she tells Hello!

Jackass star Steve-O: I'm back in the looney bin

He says drugs are responsible for his mental state

Jackass star Steve-O is in a psychiatric ward following his stint in rehab.

The comedian, 42, has been transferred to the Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA.

‘I can best describe the depression that led me to check into this looney bin as a feeling of uselessness,’ he writes on his online blog.

‘I've stayed clean for four months now, but, judging by the depression that brought me to this nut house, I need to do much more in the way of
being useful.’

Steve-O, real name Stephen Glover, says he's been affected mentally by his persistent drug use.

‘I did so much cocaine, Ketamine, PCP, nitrous oxide and all sorts of other drugs that, quite simply, my brain is f**ked up,’ he says.

‘The medication that is prescribed to me doesn’t do the trick every day.

'I frequently suffer from horrible mood swings and depression.'

Guy grits his teeth for the sake of the kids - but his feelings haven't changed

When Guy Ritchie headed out to New York to meet up with his wife Madonna 2 weeks ago, it seemed as though there might be a glimmer of hope for their collapsed marriage.

But despite reports he’d rushed to her side for a last-ditch attempt to save the relationship, nothing could be further from the truth.

Rather than becoming the touching reunion it could’ve been, Guy, 39, was forced to wait for 5 hours for his wife to return from rehearsals after he touched down in New York on Monday 30 June.

He was then obliged to take part in a stiff photo opportunity at Italian restaurant Cesca, arranged by Madonna, 49, to show the world they’re still a couple.

‘It was obvious from their awkward body language that they’re far from close,’ a friend tells Now . ‘They were holding hands, but there was no affection and the atmosphere was frosty.

‘Guy went to New York for one reason and one reason only: the children - Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7, and adopted David Banda, two. He wanted to see them and is frantic that he’ll lose out with any split.

'He wants to make sure he sees as much of them as possible in any custody arrangement. Guy’s sick to the stomach with the way Madonna is even running their break-up to a tight, well-organised schedule he’s expected to just fit into. It wasn’t easy for him to swallow his true feelings in front of the world’s cameras, but there’s more at stake than his pride.’

Madonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg said after Guy arrived in the US: ‘Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family – not in a last-ditch attempt to save his marriage, which does not need saving. There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.’

Jessica Alba has admitted she becomes grouchy and irritable when she’s hungry – but she says it's only because she needs all the energy she can get now she's a mum.

‘I used to be a just a coffee for breakfast, yogurt for lunch girl,’ she says. ‘Now I have to have something every couple of hours. I turn into Satan if I don't eat.’

Jess, 27, gave birth to Honor Marie Warren last month. And she and husband Cash Warren, 31, are already worrying about how to raise their daughter.

‘Kids' personalities have so much to do with the parents and their mentality,’ Jessica tells S Magazine. ‘If you're paranoid and uptight and won't let your child cross the street, they're going to take on that anxiety.

‘If you're a little more laid-back and make your kids responsible for their actions, you'll probably have an easier time with them. I guess I'll find out.’

Breaking News: Angelina Jolie gives birth to twin boy and girl!!!!

NICE, France (AFP) — Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has given birth to healthy twins, a girl and a boy, in the French Riviera maternity clinic she has checked into, the Nice-Matin newspaper reported Sunday quoting her gynaecologist.

The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born shortly before 8:00 pm (1800 GMT) on Saturday, the paper said quoting gynaecologist Michel Sussmann.

Jolie is fine after having a Caesarian section, it added.

Knox Leon was reported to weigh 2.27 kilogrammes (five pounds) and Vivienne Marcheline 2.28 kilogrammes (5.02 pounds).

The babies' first photograph was sold to a US paper for 11 million dollars (6.9 million euros), Nice-Matin said, adding that the money would be given to a humanitarian cause.

A source close to the clinic had said earlier the birth was expected in mid-August.

The twins brought 33-year-old Jolie's brood with partner Brad Pitt to six.

Pitt was seen entering Nice's Santa Maria clinic, part of the Lanval hospital on the seafront Promenade des Anglais, on July 2 with at least two of their children.

A spokesperson for Lanval could not immediately be reached Sunday morning to confirm the report.

Jolie and Pitt, 44, have been the subject of celebrity gossip fascination since they met on the set of their 2005 film "Mr and Mrs Smith."

Dubbed "Brangelina," they have adopted three children: Maddox, six, born in Cambodia; four-year-old Pax, born in Vietnam; and Zahara, three, born in Ethiopia.

They also had a biological child, Shiloh, born in Namibia, in May 2006.

The pair, who frequently top magazine lists of the world's most beautiful people or couple, set up home in May in a chateau they rented from an American acquaintaince in France's Provence region.

Pitt was previously married to "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston, while Jolie has been married twice before.

Kim Kardashian is a VH1 Rock Honors Hottie

Showing off her svelte figure, Kim Kardashian was nothing short of radiant last night at the VH1 Rock Honors party held at Intermix in West Hollywood.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashian's" hottie made the walk down the red carpet in a cleavage-baring white and yellow dress with matching heels as she playfully posed for photographers upon entrance.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the annual Rock Honors event pays homage to bands who influenced the sound of rock music - with a show to be held at UCLA’s Pauley Pavillion later tonight - premiering on VH1 on Thursday (July 17).

Besides hitting up red carpet events, Kim recently took a break from her busy schedule for some roller coaster excitement.

On her personal blog, the 27-year-old reality star tells of her trip: "We decided to go at night because it is sooo extremely hot out here in California. Since Reggie (Bush) starts training camp soon, the one last thing he really wanted to do was go to the Six Flags amusement park. Me, Reggie, Kourtney, Scott, Khloe, Rob, Kendall, Kylie and the twins came, along with Lily and Sydney who work at Dash!"

Continuing on, Kim tells: "We went on so many rides—x2, Scream, Goliath and go-kart racing! And Scott, Rob and I went on a bungee jump, flying ride! I was soooo scared I almost cried!"
