After three torturous seasons, the ladies of Making the Band 3 are finally set to release their debut album. Thanks to a heavy push from MTV and the teens that dutifully watch it, searches on Danity Kane have overwhelmed the Search box and left us dazed by the power of Diddy.
We assumed we were probably the only ones over the age of 18 still following the epic journey of this prefab band and searches proved us right. Almost three-quarters of queries on the show come from the under-18 crowd. And while Diddy tried to fill out his fabulous fivesome with hotties for dudes to ogle, over 80% of the searches on the show and the band are from the ladies.
With the final episode of season three of MTB3 finally here, fans are fired up about the ladies who now perform under the name Danity Kane. Searches on the group are up a whopping 570% this week, placing the divas of Danity in our top 100 searches. Folks seeking out more info on the long-gestating band are busy looking for "danity kane video" and "danity kane lyrics."
As for the individual parts of the band, Aubrey O'Day has been the leader in buzz since her bravura performance in season one. Searches on the blonde temptress are up 61% this week, but the other ladies of Kane are starting to come on strong in Buzz.
The beautiful dimples of Aundrea Fimbres (+191%) are smiling on Search, proving that Aubrey isn't alone in her appeal. Danity's debut single, "Show Stopper," is a hit with searchers. Buzz on the poptastic tune is up a staggering 5,000% after the penultimate episode featured the making of the song's video.
Close watchers of the show have followed up on a few of the strangely addictive songs featured on season three, and are responsible for searches on "danity kane sleep on it" and "danity kane ride for you."
While Rome was built in less time than it took Diddy to put together five girls who could dance in syncopation, Buzz is proving Puff knew what he was doing when he built his latest chart toppers.
