Mariah Carey - 3 Grammy Winner
Mariah Carey — who was nominated for eight Grammys — went home with just three trophies at Wednesday's award show. She lost in all of the major categories she was nominated for, including record, song and album of the year.
Instead, U2 swept the Grammys earning five awards for their album How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, including album of the year. Kelly Clarkson took home the Grammy for best female pop vocal performance and best pop album.
John Legend won three awards: best new artist, best R&B album for his debut, Get Lifted, and best male R&B vocal for the piano ballad "Ordinary People." Kanye West was also a big winner, garnering three Grammys, including best rap album for Late Registration.
